Tom Brady continues to add to his already impressive investment portfolio. The legendary retired quarterback was recently unveiled as the new minority owner of the English soccer club Birmingham City.

Birmingham City, which competes in the English Championship, the second tier of the country’s soccer league system, officially confirmed the news on Thursday via its website and social media.

According to the club’s announcement, Brady will also become chairman of the advisory board.

Brady also made an announcement of his own, sharing a video on social media in which he admitted that he still has a lot to learn about soccer.

“So here’s the deal, I’m officially coming on board at Birmingham City Football Club,” Brady said in a video posted on his social media. “And maybe you’re asking what do you know about English football, Tom? Well let’s just say I’ve got a lot to learn. But I do know a few things about winning, and I think they may translate pretty well.”

Birmingham City was founded in 1875 and played in the top flight for the better part of its history. However, the club has struggled in the past decade, being relegated from Premier League in 2010-11 and failing to return ever since. They finished the 2022-23 Championship season 17th out of 24 clubs.

Brady previously made a series of other investments in sports. He acquired a stake in WNBA’s Los Angeles Aces and NFL’s Los Angeles Raiders while also acquiring Major League Pickleball expansion team and an E1 World Championship expansion team.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
