Over the years, Tiger Woods had some bad and some good times at Augusta National. But the one thing that never changed was that Woods would always make the cut at the Masters. And he made sure this remains the case during his appearance at the 2023 edition of the tournament.

Woods visibly struggled to get in a rhythm at this year’s Masters and was at 3-over to finish Saturday’s round. At this point, it seemed like his streak of cuts made at Augusta would come to an end, considering that the line was at 2-over.

Fortunately for Woods, Justin Thomas posted a bogey down the stretch, moving the line from 2-over to 3-over and enabling him to barely avoid the cut.

Woods never missed the cut at the Masters since becoming a pro and now has a streak of 23 made cuts. This makes him tied for most in the tournament’s history with Fred Couples and Gary Player. Jack Nicklaus holds the record for most cuts made overall with 37.

“I’ve always loved this golf course, and I love playing this event,” Woods said on Saturday. “Obviously, I’ve missed a couple with some injuries, but I’ve always wanted to play here. I’ve loved it.”

Just playing at the Masters is a big achievement for Tiger Woods. The 47-year-old player had a serious car crash in 2021 that saw him suffer multiple leg injuries and forced him to undergo surgery.
