It’s been eventful several days for defensive tackle P.J. Hall, but it looks like the 25-year-old veteran finally found a new team for the 2020 NFL season. According to the player’s agency EnterSports Management, Hall agreed to a deal with Houston Texans.

Hall spent the previous two seasons with the Raiders but found himself on the exit door last week. Raiders first tried to trade him to the Minnesota Vikings, but after he failed his medical, the organization decided to simply release him.

With Texans, Hall is expected to fill the void left by the departure of D.J. Reader in the offseason. Houston’s main idea is probably to have him as a cover on the D-line in case that the 2020’s second-round pick and presumable starter Ross Blacklock doesn’t pan out.

P.J. Hall himself was a second-round pick two years ago, entering the league with great expectations. However, he never managed to meet them and struggled to find his footing as a pro. Hall’s career stats include 48 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and two pass deflections.

Ben loves sports so much but prefers watching other people do it. He prefers not to share what teams he's supporting but he is willing to admit that Lebron James is, in fact, the king.
