You would think that anyone playing in the NBA can spin a basketball on their finger. After all, it is one of the first things that kids attempt to do when they are handed a basketball. But surprisingly, some of the biggest NBA stars don’t possess this skill.

During a recent media day at Team USA training camp, the members of the team were asked to try and spin a basketball on their finger. Golden State Warriors’ Stephen Curry immediately admitted that he actually can’t do it.

“So, I can do a lot of things with a basketball. A lot of things,” said Curry before adding that it’s “embarrassing” that he can’t spin a basketball. Curry goes on to make a few failed attempts before giving up.

It turned out that Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James, Indiana Pacers Tyrese Haliburton, and Philadelphia 76ers Joel Embiid also can’t do it. James said that it’s really not his thing, while Embiid believed he was the only one on the team who couldn’t do it.

On the other hand, the likes of Jrue Holiday (Boston Celtics), Kevin Durant and Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns), and Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves) all showcased impressive ability to spin the basketball on their finger. Even Lakers’ Anthony Davis managed to pull it off despite being previously called out by Holiday.

I am a reality TV junkie. My dream since I was a kid was to be on Big Brother, but until then you can catch me binge-watching episodes each summer.
