Reigning Super Bowl champions New England Patriots will play a Wild Card game for the first time since 2010. The unexpected loss against the Miami Dolphins with 24-27 dropped the Patriots to the 3^rd seed in AFC, losing the bye-weekend and potentially home-field advantage. Kansas City Chiefs will enter the playoffs in 2nd place, right behind the Baltimore Ravens, with both teams having home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. 

The top-ranked defense of the Patriots had no answer against Ryan Fitzpatrick, allowing 320 yards through air and 93 on rushing. Former Patriots cornerback Eric Rowe intercepted Tom Brady before the half time and scored a touchdown. 

Brady managed to improve in the 2^nd half by throwing 221 total yards and 1 passing touchdown. With that touchdown, Brady overtook Peyton Manning on the All-Time Touchdown list with only Drew Brees ahead of him.  

The Patriots offense has been struggling all season long, but they managed to turn the game to their favor before the end. The 4-11 Dolphins had nothing to lose and Fitzpatrick led a game-winning drive with only 26 seconds remaining. Brady tried to push for another comeback, but Miami didn’t fall for the trick plays at the end.
