Vince Carter didn’t have to wait for long to land another job after ending his NBA career. Carter, who played 22 years in the league before retiring in March, will join ESPN as a basketball analyst.

According to the network, Carter inked a multi-year contract and will cover the NBA and men’s college basketball. He will appear in-studio on ESPN’s main shows like NBA Countdown, The Jump, Get Up, and First Take, while also filling in as game analyst.

Carter won’t be new to this job, as he previously served as a guest analyst on several ESPN shows while still being an active player.

Vince Carter made the All-Star team eight times during his playing career, suiting up for Toronto Raptors, New Jersey Nets, and Atlanta Hawks among other teams. He also represented USA Basketball on several tournaments, most memorable being the 2002 Olympic Games in Sydney where the team won Olympic gold.

Carter spent the 2019/20 NBA season with the Hawks, but couldn’t get his farewell game due to the COVID-19 outbreak. He retired with career-averages of 16.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.
