]]>Mexican winger Uriel Antuna delivered some memorable performances in Los Angeles Galaxy jersey during the 2019 MLS season, but he won’t be making a return to Dignity Health Sports Park next season. Instead, Antuna will continue his career in native Mexico with Liga MX side Chivas Guadalajara.
Chivas officially announced their acquisition via social media on Thursday.

Antuna joined Galaxy on loan from Manchester City in January and ended up establishing himself as an integral part of the team’s starting 11. The 22-year-old ended up starting 29 games in the regular season, scoring six goals and providing five assists in the process. He also started two games in the playoffs.
While it was believed that Galaxy was trying to get Urial Antuna back on a permanent basis, the player instead decided to head to his home country. After finding out the news, the LA club decided to wish him luck with a tribute video.
Galaxy will have a significantly different roster next season, with a number of other players besides Antuna departing the club after the season ended. This includes Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Diego Polenta, and Chris Pontius.
