We don’t think the Los Angeles Rams are done spending money after handing their quarterback Jared Goff a $134 million deal on Wednesday. Just 24 hours later, Rams also decided to sign tight end Tyler Higbee to an extension.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Higbee inked a four-year deal which will keep him with the organization through 2024. The extension will also move the 26-year-old into top 10 highest paid TEs in the NFL. He will earn $31.025 million in base pay with $5 million more being available to him in incentives. The extension also comes with $15.5 million guaranteed.

“I’m excited to be here,” – said Higbee after signing the deal. “I love this coaching staff. I want to thank the organization, (owner/chairman) Mr. (Stan) Kroenke, this coaching staff, front office, all my teammates for making this possible. I’m grateful, very blessed.”

Since being drafted by the Rams in the fourth round of 2016 NFL Draft, Tyler Higbee established himself as a valuable contributor to the team’s offense. He has been particularly productive in the past two seasons, starting every game and recording 58 career receptions for 658 yards and four touchdowns.

Higbee also proved to be clutch when it matters the most with his stellar performance in last season’s playoffs. In NFC Championship game against the New Orleans Saints, he helped the Rams back into the game by catching a TD in the third quarter and also had two crucial catches in overtime.
