The Jacksonville Jaguars reached an agreement with former Seattle Seahawks running back Thomas Rawls, league sources announced.

“RB Thomas Rawls has signed with the #Jaguars, sources said. “The former #Bengals and #Seahawks RB build backfield depth going into 2019,” NFL insider Ian Rapoport announced through his twitter account.

Rawls joined the Seahawks as an undrafted player in 25. He was impressive throughout his rookie year, compiling 830 yards and four touchdowns. He also broke a couple of records in Seattle. The then 22-year-old became the first undrafted rookie to reach 711 rushing yards in his first 6 games. He then broke another record for the most rushing yards in a single game by a rookie running back (209).

In 2017, the former Michigan college student logged 161 yards in a wild card game versus Detroit Lions-setting a new record for the Seahawks: the most yards by a player in a postseason game.

A slew of injuries saw Rawls’ relieved in Seattle last year. The Jets picked him but released him after training camp. The running back was signed by the Cincinnati Bengals but was cut loose after just one game. Rawls left Cincinnati after one month.

While it’s not certain whether hell revive his career in Jacksonville, he has a chance to fight for a palaying spot. Carlos Hyde hasn’t been at his best for a while now while Corey Grant and T.J. Yeldon will become free agents next summer.
