Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is sizzling hot to start the 2021-22 NBA season. This was more than obvious on Monday when Curry torched the Atlanta Hawks with 50 points to give his team a 127-113 win.

Curry had a stellar shooting night from the long-range that saw him make nine three-pointers from 19 attempts. He was also perfect from the free-throw line, sinking all 13 tries. And the 33-year-old managed to do all of this despite injuring his left shoulder early in the first quarter.

Curry finished the Hawks game by adding 10 assists, which made him just the third player in the franchise history to do so in a 50 points game. Only Hall of Famers Wilt Chamberlain and Rick Barry managed to do it before him.

Speaking with reporters after the game, the Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was in awe of Curry’s outing.

“That was just a stunning performance by Steph,” Kerr said via ESPN. “He was amazing. I want to say I’ve never seen anything like it, but I’ve been watching it for seven years, so I have seen something like it and still it’s just incredible to watch.”

Stephen Curry has been an early MVP candidate this season and is currently averaging 27.6 points, 6.6 assists, and career-high 6.6 rebounds per game. His performances helped the Warriors to get on top of the Western Conference, and they currently hold a league-best 9-1 record.

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry continues to amaze the world with his abilities to shoot the ball. His latest achievement came on Monday night in 111-105 loss to Spurs when he managed to drain a 61-foot three-pointer and claim the longest field goal made in 2018/19 NBA season.

With 1.8 seconds left in the first quarter, Curry received an inbound pass from Shaun Livingston in front of his own basket, took a dribble and launched a ball into the air. The ball hit the backboard and somehow got in, which sent Warriors’ bench into a frenzy.

Curry talked about the shot with the reporters after the game saying that he had a feeling it will go in.

“I might be delusional, but every time I shoot it, I feel like it’s going in,” – said Curry. “You kind of know right away whether it has a chance or not. Some of them are in and out, it’s close, whatever. That one felt great, I was running after [it]. A cool way to end the quarter, I just wish we had gotten the win, too.”

The 61-footer was Stephen Curry’s longest field goal made in the regular season, while he managed to score a 62-foot three-pointer in the playoffs. Since entering the league, he has four 50-foot and more made FGs, being tied with Zach Randolph for most in the last 20 years.

Curry is currently enjoying a great season even by his standards, averaging 27.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.3 steals per game and helping Golden State to the first spot in the Western Conference.

The NBA season just started but we are are already witnessing some amazing things from the league’s biggest superstars. The most recent one to impress us with his basketball skills is Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, who put on a real shooting show in Wednesday night’s 144-122 win over Washington Wizards.

Curry, who is two-time NBA MVP, finished the game with 51 points while also adding five rebounds and three assists. This feat was even more impressive considering that the 30-year-old was 15-for-24 from the field and made 11 three-pointers out of 16 attempts while being perfect from the free throw line.

Everything felt in rhythm,” – said Curry after the game. “You start to get good looks, you don’t have to force anything to find them, and you can just repeat that same motion, and it’s going in. The crowd gets into it, my teammates are encouraging me. The last 3 in the first quarter is probably the funniest thing I’ve experienced on the court where two guys on my team are yelling at me from the time I was at the other free throw line like, ‘Don’t pass it, don’t pass it. You better shoot it,’ all that type of stuff. I’m hearing that while I’m dribbling down, and it was kind of all the motivation you need just to launch it, and thankfully it went in.”

I don’t even know how to describe what I witnessed tonight,” – Warriors coach Steve Kerr added. “Amazing. Video game stuff.”

Stephen Curry didn’t only help his team win with this epic performance, but he also made progress on the NBA’s career 3-point scoring leaders list, climbing to the fifth spot. Curry currently has 2,162 three-pointers made, which is enough to top Jamal Crawford’s figure of 2,154.

Curry has started the 2018-19 NBA season in a ferocious was and currently averages 34.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game.
