The 2020 NFL Pro Bowl game wrapped up on Sunday with AFC earning a 38-33 win and continuing their domination over NFC. The AFC All-Stars were fronted by Baltimore Ravens’ quarterback Lamar Jackson and Jacksonville Jaguars’ defensive end Calais Campbell, who were named MVPs on their respective end of the ball.

Jackson won the offensive MVP of the Pro Bowl, throwing for 185 yards and two touchdowns and adding 6 yards rushing.

“I didn’t really have an individual I wanted to learn from,” said Jackson, who was making his first Pro Bowl appearance. “I wanted to hear everybody’s stories. I wanted to hear what they had to pitch and put in our ear. It was just everybody.”

The Pro Bowl MVP award might be just the beginning for Jackson. He is also the front runner for the regular-season NFL MVP award after leading the Ravens to league-best 14-2 record. The 23-year-old finished the year with 3,127 passing yards and 36 touchdowns while adding 1,206 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns.

Campbell, who was participating at his third straight Pro Bowl, finished the game with one tackle and a crucial forced fumble, which was returned for a touchdown and sealed NFC’s win.

Orlando is set to become a gathering place for the best football players in the world for the fourth straight year. NFL announced on Wednesday that the 2020 Pro Bowl will take place at Orlando’s Camping World Stadium on January 26, 2020.

Orlando hosted the previous three Pro Bowls and it seems like the league loved the job they did in 2016, 2017, and 2018.

“We’re thrilled to return to Orlando for the fourth year in a row and bring the Pro Bowl experience to the city of Orlando, our fans, players and partners,” – said NFL executive vice president of club business and league events Peter O’Reilly in a statement. “We’re happy to provide not only a week-long celebration of football but also to extend the celebration of the NFL’s 100th season throughout this year’s Pro Bowl.”

After all but one Pro Bowl matches from 1979 to 2015 were played in Honolulu, Hawaii, the league decided to host the 2014 edition of the event in Arizona, where that year’s Super Bowl was played. Although it was expected that NFL might begin rotating the hosts on a yearly basis, Pro Bowl was returned to Honolulu in 2015 and then give to Orlando the following year.

The reason for why Orlando remained the host of the Pro Bowl since then and might be in the future is the fact that the city not only did a great job in organizing the event but is also a place where players feel comfortable. Also, the city doesn’t have an NFL team, and it is a great marketing move to give football fans in Orlando a taste of their favorite sport.
