Veteran wideout Odell Beckham Jr. has agreed to a deal with the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens confirmed the move on Sunday, announcing that they agreed in principle on a one-year contract with Beckham.

According to multiple reports, Beckham will get a guaranteed $15 million annual salary from the Ravens as part of the agreement. In addition, the Pro Bowler will be able to earn an extra $3 million via bonuses and incentives.

Beckham was considered the top free agent left on the market this offseason. Several teams were reportedly interested in signing him but were turned off by his salary demands. The 30-year-old player reportedly asked between $20 million and $15 million annually on a multi-year deal, something teams were unwilling to give him considering his injury history.

The reason why the Ravens met Beckham’s asking price, albeit on a one-year commitment, was the fact that they had the lowest-producing wideout group in the league in three of the four past seasons. With Beckham in the building, Baltimore now has a proven No. 1 option on the position and a player that can elevate the entire team.  

Odell Beckham missed the entire 2022 recovering from an ACL injury he suffered in Super Bowl LVI. He has 531 career catches for 7,367 and 56 touchdowns. Beckham’s NFL resume includes three Pro Bowl nods and two Second-Team All-Pro selections.

The Dallas Cowboys’ interest in star wideout Odell Beckham Jr. appears to be cooling off. According to multiple reports, the Cowboys have concerns about Beckham’s availability in the 2022 season after hosting him earlier this week.

Beckham, who is currently a free agent, flirted with a number of teams while recovering from an ACL injury he suffered in the Super Bowl LVI. He seemed particularly fond of the Cowboys, and the franchise welcomed the possibility, believing the three-time Pro Bowler might improve their championship odds.

However, the Cowboys’ interest in Beckham was motivated by getting him on the field this season, which they realized might not be an option after hosting the player. The 30-year-old player didn’t work out at all during his visit and seemed to still have a long way to go before returning to the field. This was the main reason why the franchise did not offer him a deal.

The Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones confirmed the team’s concerns during a recent chat with 105.3 The Fan.

 “Well, I’m not confident at all,” said Jones when asked why he’s confident about signing Beckham. “And so that’s the issue. We all realize that issue of health, that issue of availability.”

Odell Beckham Jr. started the last season with the Cleveland Browns but ended up being released after six weeks. He then signed with the Los Angeles Rams and emerged as one of the key contributors in the team’s Super Bowl run. Beckham had 21 catches for 288 yards and two touchdowns in the postseason, including one TD in the championship game.

Pro Bowl wideout Odell Beckham Jr. is heading to Los Angeles after being released by the Cleveland Browns earlier this week. Beckham opted to join the Rams, inking a one-year deal with the franchise.

Reportedly, Beckham was approached by a number of teams in recent days, with the New Orleans Saints, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Green Bay Packers emerging as the favorites for his signature. Still, the always-aggressive Rams swooped in at the last moment and managed to add another weapon to their offense.

The Rams officially confirmed the deal on their social media on Thursday.

Beckham arriving in LA has already got his teammates excited, with the quarterback Matthew Stafford being particularly pleased to have the three-time Pro Bowler playing by his side.

“It’s an opportunity for us as a team, it’s an opportunity for him to come in here and prove himself to us. What our room is about in the receiver room is pretty special. I know he’ll fit right in and continue to get better and hopefully help us as a team,” Stafford said.

Odell Beckham Jr. spent the last two and a half years with the Browns but struggled to mesh with the team’s quarterback Baker Mayfield. That was particularly on display this season which saw Beckham managing only 17 catches for 232 yards in six games.

His father tried to speed things up by posting a video on social media that saw Mayfield continuously failing to get the ball to Beckham.
