Despite the Baltimore Ravens losing three of their running backs J.K. Dobbins, Gus Edwards, and Justice Hill for the season, they still managed to keep their ground game on a high level and are currently the fourth-best rushing team in 2021. Reportedly, this put the rest of the league on notice and resulted in multiple trade inquiries coming Baltimore’s way.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, several NFL teams have contacted the Ravens in recent weeks to gauge their interest in trading some members of their current RB core. Baltimore is still waiting on responding to the offers, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see them dealing some of their fringe backs.

A series of bad luck and injuries have caused Baltimore to lose their top three RBs on the depth chart in a span of 10 days. The Ravens bounced back by slotting second-year player Ty’Son Williams as a No.1 back and signing veterans Latavius Murray, Devonta Freeman, and Le’Veon Bell, and have fared exceptionally well so far.

Williams, seeing his first action as a pro this year, has rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown while averaging an impressive 6.1 yards per carry.  Murray, on the other hand, has 151 yards rushing and three touchdowns.

Freeman and Bell, both Pro Bowlers earlier in their careers, have not made a great impact, but that is understandable considering they started their time with the franchise on the practice squad list. Freeman has six rushing attempts for 41 yards, while Bell carried the ball four times and has 11 yards.

Miami Dolphins’ third-year quarterback Josh Rosen could be on the move again. According to NFL Media’s Michael Giardi, several NFL teams have been making calls in regards to Rosen’s availability.

Rosen’s time in Miami is presumably over as Dolphins extended veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick and then drafted Alabama’s signal-caller Tua Tagovailoa with the fifth overall pick in 2020 NFL Draft. However, Giardi reports that the organization is in “no hurry” to trade the 23-year-old and will most likely wait for the right offer.

Rosen had three starts with the Dolphins in 2019, throwing for 567 yards and one touchdown.

Considering the crowded QB room in Miami, Josh Rosen will likely enter the new NFL season with another organization once again. Rosen was Arizona Cardinals’ 10th overall pick in 2018 but only spent one year with the organization. After landing No.1 overall pick in 2019, Cardinals drafted Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray to be their franchise’s QB and traded Rosen to Miami for a second-round pick.

While Rosen struggled in his first two seasons in the NFL, posting 3-13 as a starter, the truth is that the organizations he played with didn’t do him much favor. Both Miami and Arizona were league’s worst teams in seasons he played there and had disastrous offensive lines.

The fact is that Rosen still has a reputation of a talented QB, and it isn’t surprising that teams are still willing to take a gamble on him. Who knows, maybe the third time will be the charm.

San Francisco 49ers aren’t even secretive about their intentions to part ways with wideout Marquise Goodwin. According to 49ers’ general manager John Lynch, Goodwin is available for trade, and the team is hoping to cash in on him soon.

Lynch had a chat with reporters on Monday during which he discussed reports that the team wants to trade a number of their pricey players like defensive end Dee Ford, linebacker Kwon Alexander, and Goodwin, among others.

“Marquise is the one guy out of that group that you mentioned where there’s active discussions going on,” Lynch explained. “The other guys, we love and are really looking forward to playing with moving forward.”

According to Lynch, Goodwin was close to being traded in the past but the offers didn’t satisfy the 49ers’ appetites.

“It came close a couple of times,” he added. “There’s a lot of different aspects to being able to close these deals, and he’s a guy, because we know he has value, we continue to hang on and we’ll see if something happens here.”

Marquise Goodwin still has two years left on his deal that will pay him more than $10 million in 2020 and 2021 combined. The 49ers would not only like to get that money off their books, but also invest any assets they get in return in a viable first option at wide receiver.

Goodwin was far from impressive in the last two seasons with San Francisco, struggling to stay healthy and only managing 35 receptions for 581 yards and five touchdowns. Still, there might be a market for him among the teams who are looking for a veteran help on the WR position if 49ers decide to lower their asking price.

The list of teams interested in Tom Brady is getting bigger with each passing week and Tampa Bay Buccaneers is the latest suitor for the iconic quarterback. According to Tampa Bay Times, the Buccaneers are “going all in” on attempts to land Brady this offseason.

Brady is set to become a free agent for the first time in his famed career, and the chances of him leaving New England Patriots are getting bigger by day. If the 42-year-old reached the free agency, he won’t be lacking contract offers, and Tampa Bay is reportedly preparing an “aggressive” one.

While the scenario in which Tom Brady is Buccs signal-caller in 2020 sounds highly unlikely at first, the fit is definitely there. In Tampa, Brady would be paired with head coach Bruce Arians, who is highly regarded for his work with QBs. Also, Tampa has a quality defense and potent offensive weapons, especially wideout Mike Evans, giving Brady a lot to work with.

It remains to be seen whether Tampa Bay Buccaneers get a chance to present their offer to Brady, but it’s clear that the team is ready to move on from Jaemis Winston. While Winston is considered to be a talented QB, he also failed to show consistency during his time as a Buccs starter. The 26-year-old, who threw 33 touchdowns and 30 interceptions in 2019, is set to become a free agent.

The other options that Tampa will consider for their QB position reportedly include Los Angeles Chargers’ Phillip Rivers and New Orleans Saints’ Teddy Bridgewater, who will be free agents as well.

Baltimore Ravens might have to get a new man to support their star quarterback Lamar Jackson. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Ravens’ backup QB quarterback Robert Griffin III might be on the move this offseason.

After spending the 2017 season without a team, Griffin signed a deal with the Ravens and managed to earn a roster spot two seasons ago. The 30-year-old former second overall pick played 10 games, mostly as a relief, during that time and contributed with 246 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.

Considering that it’s unlikely for Griffin to get a more prominent role with Ravens in the future, his time in Baltimore is likely coming to an end. Reportedly, his name is coming up often in trade talks with several NFL teams expressing their interest.

Robert Griffin is seven years removed from his Pro Bowl season as a rookie in 2012, so it’s unclear whether any team would strongly consider him as a starter. With this being said, Griffin looked really good when he was on the field in the past two years and could be a nice option for teams unsure in their QBs like Chicago Bears.

Griffin’s NFL career stats include 63.1 percent completion, 9,229 passing yards and 43 touchdowns to go with 1,740 rushing yards and 10 rushing TDs.

After struggling with a tight end position in 2019, the New England Patriots are determined to do something about it. According to Eugene Frenette of Florida Times-Union, the Pats are exploring possible trade for Baltimore Ravens’ TE Hayden Hurst.

Patriots tried various solutions at the tight end last season but struggled to find someone to replace the production they were getting from retired Rob Gronkowski. This is why targeting Hurst makes sense, as he managed to have 30 receptions for 349 yards and two touchdowns in 2019 despite limited action.

Frenette also adds that New England is facing competition for Hurst. Jaguars were keen to take the 26-year-old with 29th pick during the 2018 NFL draft, but Ravens beat them to it. Now Jacksonville is looking to try and acquire the player once again, hoping to boost their struggling offense.

Despite being the first-round pick, Hayden Hurst struggled to get continuous action in Baltimore. In his rookie season, Hurst played 12 games as a backup and only managed to catch 23 passes for 163 yards and a touchdown.

While things got better in his sophomore year, the belief around the league is that Hurst will have a hard time getting ahead of Mark Andrews and Nick Boyle on the depth chart. This is why the change of scenery might be welcomed for both sides. Ravens could get draft capital to address other positions, while the player would get more targets with a TE-needy organization.

Although Pro Bowl wide receiver A.J. Green repeatedly stated in the past that he wants to finish his career with Cincinnati Bengals, that is becoming less of an option with each week of the 2019 NFL season.

Bengals are currently sitting at 0-5 record, and the word around the league is that they are strongly considering moving some of their veteran players. Green, who is approaching the end of his deal, is arguably their biggest asset, and trading him would likely help the team to accumulate badly-needed draft capital for an impending rebuild.

And while Green has been a subject of trade rumors for weeks now, he insists that this talk hasn’t got to him yet. But, if something happens, he will be ready for that.

“I tell everybody I haven’t heard anything,” – said Green while talking with Bengals’ official website. “I don’t fantasize about anything like that. I’m just trying to get healthy and go from there. I’m prepared for anything. A trade’s not going to change who I am. I’m still going to play. I’m still going to be A.J.”

A.J. Green is one of the best receivers in the game when healthy, but injuries have slowed him down lately, which could affect his trade value. Green missed almost half of the 2018 season due to a toe injury and has been dealing with an ankle injury that prevented him from playing in 2019. With that being said, if Bengals decided to put him on the market, there will surely be no lack of interest in his services.

Although Washington Redskins have been viewed as a dysfunctional organization lately, it seems like plenty of people would be interested in taking their head coaching position. The latest one to put his name into the sweepstakes is former New York Jets and Buffalo Bills HC Rex Ryan.

Ryan, who is currently working as an NFL analyst for ESPN, recently commented on Redskins’ job opening and said that he would be more than willing to take the challenge.

“Of course,” – said Ryan. “I would take it. . . . People are going to be lined up for this job.”

Ryan previously hasn’t been mentioned in the discussions for the head coaching position with the Washington Redskins. It is believed that the Kansas City Chiefs’ offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is the frontrunner for the gig, with Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ OC Byron Leftwich being a close second. Other names in the mix include Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Mike Pettine and former Jets’ coach Todd Bowles.

It is unclear whether Rex Ryan has a shot to be Redskins’ next HC. Although Ryan enjoyed success early in his career, taking Jets to two consecutive AFC Championship Games in his first two seasons, his later work is not so remarkable. In the following four seasons with the Jets and two with the Buffalo Bills, he failed to reach the postseason. His head coaching record in the regular season is 61-66, while he is 4-2 in the postseason.
