The Detroit Pistons lost 126-115 to the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night, thereby recording their 26th consecutive loss. This feat equals the standing record for the longest losing streak in NBA history.

“None of us went through this, ever,” center Isaiah Stewart said, reflecting on his team’s 26th straight loss. “This is the hardest thing probably all of us went through, especially being in the pros.” Guard Cade Cunningham admitted the team’s pain, explaining “Everybody hates losing, so it’s hard”, adding that the team needs to make a plan of action in order to turn their fortunes around.

Despite another crushing defeat, Jaden Ivey emerged as the Pistons’ standout player, leading his team with 23 points as well as seven assists. Cade Cunningham followed closely behind with 22 points and six assists. The Pistons will have an opportunity to bring their losing streak to an end Tuesday night when they rematch the Brooklyn Nets at the Little Caesars Arena.

In a game against the Utah Jazz on Saturday night, Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Stephen Curry became number two on the all-time list of three-pointers made.

In doing so, the two-time MVP passed Reggie Miller, the Hall of Famer who played his entire career in the Indiana Pacers.

But even though Curry only just passed Miller, what makes his accomplishment so shocking is the amount of games it took him to do it.

For comparison, Miller made 2,560 threes throughout his entire 18-year career, in which he played 1,389 regular-season games. Contrast that with Curry’s 12 years in the league and 715 games—and it’s not hard to see why Curry’s the undisputed greatest shooter of all time.

Even though the Warriors lost the game on Saturday night, Curry reflected on his accomplishment in an interview afterward.

“That’s pretty dope,” he noted. “We got our head beat tonight, but I was trying to still enjoy it. After I made the third one, I knew that was a big one, and then to make that fourth one in the third quarter was pretty special. Something I’ve been looking forward to for a very long time.”

Most people spend their 36th birthday hanging out with family, or perhaps going out with some friends. LeBron James decided to reach a new NBA milestone.

On Wednesday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs, which took place on James’ birthday, he became the only player to score in double-digits for 1,000 games in a row.

He had already broken the record of most double-digit games in a row back in March 2018, when he passed Michael Jordan with 867. Nearly three years later, he’s reached 1,000—and it doesn’t look as though anyone will even come close to passing him any time soon.

The only active player who may have a chance is James Harden, whose streak currently stands at 411 games. After him, no other active player has over 200 games in a row with over ten points.

What this streak proves is LeBron impeccable consistency over the years. Regarding actual stats, it solidifies him as maybe the most consistent scorer of all time. To give you a scope of this accomplishment, LeBron started the streak back in January 5th, 2007. Since then, he hasn’t scored less than ten points in a game, which is simply incredible.

To make his birthday night even sweeter, if that’s possible, he led the Lakers to victory over the Spurs with 26 points total.
