Baltimore Ravens featured the same offensive line in the first 12 weeks of the season, but head coach John Harbaugh will be forced to make some changes for Week 13. Ravens confirmed on Tuesday that their center Matt Skura will be out for the rest of the season due to a knee injury.

Skura injured his knee in Monday’s blowout against Los Angeles Rams, with the initial prognosis indicating that he earned a sprain. However, additional tests showed that the injury is more serious and requires season-ending surgery.

Skura was an important part of Baltimore’s offensive line that paved the way for the league-leading rushing attack. The 26-year-old was known in Ravens’ headquarters as “Mr. Reliable,” considering that he played second-most snaps (1,812) in the NFL in the past two seasons.

“These guys are more than teammates, they are my brothers.” – wrote Skura on social media after learning the news. “We fight and battle for each other every week, putting everything we have on the line. My season has ended, but there’s much more to be accomplished. We have a clear vision and aren’t wavering for anyone until the mission is complete.”

Ravens will now turn to undrafted rookie Patrick Mekari at the center. Mekari, who is an offensive guard, stepped in against Rams and did a solid job.
