The New England Patriots have traded wide receiver Brandin Cooks to Los Angeles Rams. The Patriots have sent Cooks and a 2018 fourth-round pick to the Rams, receiving the 23rd overall pick in this year’s NFL draft and 2018 six-round pick.

Brandin Cooks joined the Patriots last season when the New Orleans Saints traded him in exchange for the 32nd overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft. Pats and Saints also swapped the mid-round pick as the part of the trade.

In his only season with the New England Patriots, Brandin Cooks played in 16 games (15 as a starter) and had 65 receptions for 1,082 yards, alongside seven touchdowns. He added 10 receptions for 155 yards in the postseason. Cooks had 16 receiving passes for 20-plus yards in the 2017 NFL season, which tied him with Texans’ DeAndre Hopkins for most in the league.

This trade means that the Los Angeles Rams will be without a first rounder for a second consecutive year, while the Patriots will have their highest pick in the draft since 2012 when they held the 21st overall pick. Acquiring Cooks means that the Rams will probably stop pursuing New York Giants’ star WR Odell Beckham Jr.

Brandin Cooks entered the NFL through 2014 draft, where New Orleans Saints traded up from 27th to the 20th pick in order to get him. After a mediocre rookie season, Cooks was named the Saints’ number one receiver in 2015 NFL season, finishing with 84 receptions for 1,138 yards and nine touchdowns. In 2016, he had another productive season, ending the year with 1,173 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.

Former Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is off the market. The 31-year-old has agreed to a one year deal with the Los Angeles Rams on Monday. According to the reports, the deal is worth around $14 million. The Rams have confirmed the acquisition of Suh on their official Twitter profile.

Ndamukong Suh was the best free agent left on the market, after being released on March 14 by the Dolphins. He has visited the Tennessee Titans and New Orleans Saints in the past week, before deciding to accept the offer from the Rams.

We are excited to have Ndamukong as a part of the Los Angeles Rams,” – said the Rams general manager Les Snead in a statement. “He’s been an outstanding player in this league and we are looking forward to him being a part of our defense.

Capturing Suh immediately propelled the Los Angeles Rams in a serious Super Bowl contender. He will join an already strong defensive line which consists of 2017 AP Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald and defensive lineman Michael Brockers. It is also important to note that the Rams added quality cornerbacks this season in Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib.

Ndamukong Suh was drafted in the NFL by Detroit Lions, who took him second overall in 2010 draft. After four years with the team, he signed with the Miami Dolphins on a six-year, $114 million contract in 2015. During his time in the NFL, Suh established himself as one of best interior pass rushers, having 51.5 sacks and four forced fumbles in his career.

He received first-team All-Pro honors three times and made Pro-Bowl selection five times. One of Suh’s trademark characteristics as a football player is his durability since he only missed two games in his entire professional football career.

Los Angeles Rams are continuing the work on reshaping their roster. After agreeing to a deal to bring All-Pro cornerback Marcus Peters from the Kansas City Chiefs last week, they are now trading away Pro-Bowl pass-rusher Robert Quinn. According to ESPN‘s Adam Schefter, Miami Dolphins are Quinn’s next stop. In order to secure Quinn’s services, the Dolphins will give up third or fourth round pick, and swap late round picks with the Rams.

Although Robert Quinn had a great 2017 NFL season, after making a switch from defensive end to outside linebacker and managing 8.5 sacks in 15 games, he is projected to count more than $25 million against the cap space in next two years. This isn’t something the Rams were about to take lightly, and they simply decided to move on.

Miami Dolphins, on the other side, will now have one of the most expensive defensive lines in NFL. This is the price the team is willing to pay, however, since they were ranked 26th in pass-rush in 2017 with only 30 sacks in the 2017 season. Pairing Robert Quinn with Cameron Wake, who had 10 sacks last season, looks like an improvement in every way. Robert Quinn was drafted by the Rams as a 14th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. He ended his rookie season with five sacks and three blocked punts, receiving praise for his campaign.

After becoming a starter in his sophomore season, he had a breakthrough year in 2010, when he had 19.0 sacks and 57 combined tackles. After struggling with back injuries, Quinn’s productivity dropped down in the recent years, but he has shown that he still can be a major contributor if he stays healthy.

It has been reported on Friday that the Los Angeles Rams managed to make a trade for All-Pro cornerback Marcus Peters with the Kansas City Chiefs. The deal still can’t be processed until the start of the new league year on March 14, but according to ESPN‘s Adam Schefter, the Chiefs will receive a package of draft picks in exchange for Peters.

This seems like a great deal for the Rams, whose cornerback situation is far from ideal. They have placed the franchise tag on Trumaine Johnson in the past two years, and have slot corner Nickell Robey-Coleman lined up for the unrestricted free agency. Also, Kayvon Webster is dealing with Achilles tendon rupture since December. With Peters on their roster, the Rams can finally move on from Johnson who would cost them ten times more and give themselves cap-relief they need in order to sign their other restricted and unrestricted free agents.

Marcus Peters entered the league in 2015 when the Chiefs took him 18th overall in that year’s draft. He immediately broke onto the scene, and had a monster rookie season, being named into the Pro-Bowl, winning AP Defensive Rookie of the Year honors and finishing the year with eight interceptions and 26 passes defended. In 2016, he showed that his good games were not a coincidence, by being named into Pro-Bowl once again and receiving All-Pro honors. In 2017, he had 5 interceptions, which meant he was only the second player in NFL history to have three consecutive seasons with 5 or more interceptions in each.

Although the Rams got themselves an excellent player, there are some concerns with Peters’ character and behavior since he entered into conflict with both his college coaches and the Chiefs’ staff.
