Steelers’ wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Ravens. The Steelers are hoping he will be able to play in the important AFC North showdown.

Pittsburgh’s star receiver injured his toe early in the game Monday night, the same toe that was hurt in Week 1 against New England. Although JuJu was doing the bare minimum in Friday’s practice, offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner predicts that he will be ready to go on Sunday.

Smith-Schuster caught a career low 15 receiving yards with his hurt toe against the Bengals. Even if he is not 100%, his presence on the field is enough to put pressure on the struggling Baltimore defense in an important divisional game.

Running back James Conner injured his ankle against the Bengals as well, but participated in Friday’s practice and should be ready to go by Sunday.

After a crushing 33-3 defeat in Week 1 against the Patriots, the Steelers tried to bounce back in the home opener, but came up short against the Seahawks. The defense sacked Russel Wilson 4 times in the first half, but gave up too many big plays in the secondary in clutch situations and that was the difference maker in the 28-26 loss.

Ben Roethlisberger left the game at the start of the second half after repeatedly clutching his elbow on pass attempts. His MRI is scheduled for Monday, but experts are already predicting that he will miss at least a couple of weeks, if not more.

Backup QB Mason Rudolph did a great job coming off the bench and keeping Pittsburgh in the game. He completed 12 of 19 including two touchdown passes to tight end Vance McDonald. Rudolph looked calmed and composed in the pocket which is a good sign for Pittsburgh, as he may have to take over the QB job until Ben returns.

Running back James Conner also left the game in the 4th quarter after limping off the field. There have been no reports yet of his injury, but the Steelers are hoping he will be ready to go in Week 3 against San Francisco.
