Several familiar names will find themselves on the voting ballot for the induction in the International Tennis Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2022. The list of nominees includes the pair of French Open winners Ana Ivanovic and Carlos Moya, US Open Champion Flavia Pennetta, and former number one in doubles, Cara Black.

Ivanovic, Moya, Pennetta, and Black will be joined by Lisa Raymond and Juan Carlos Ferrero, who were on the ballot last year but didn’t make the cut.

The fan vote for the class of 2022 is already underway and will end on October 31st. Their votes will be combined with the votes from other Hall of Fame members, the media, and the historians of the game.

The International Tennis Hall of Fame inductees are expected to be announced in early 2021 while the induction ceremony is scheduled for July 16th.

Ivanovic has 15 career titles and is a former number one tennis player in the world. Her best Grand Slam results besides the French Open win are finals at the Australian Open and semifinals at US Open.

Moya, who was also No. 1 at one point, has 20 titles. He was a semifinalist at US Open on top of Roland Garros’ win in 1998 and has finals at the Australian Open from 1997.

Pennetta’s highest ranking was No. 6 in 2015, the same year she won the US Open. She never made it past the quarterfinals on the other three Grand Slams.

Black had a stellar career in doubles, winning three titles at Wimbledon, one at the Australian Open, and one at US Open. Her best singles result was the fourth round at French Open in 2001.

Goran Ivanisevic and Conchita Martinez are heading to the International Tennis Hall of Fame. The news was announced on Tuesday at the Australian Open, where both Ivanisevic and Martinez were participating as coaches.

Ivanisevic is best remembered for his memorable win at Wimbledon in 2001. The Croatian, ranked No.125 at the time, entered the tournament as a wildcard, and managed to win the tournament to claim his first and only career Grand Slam. He also has a bronze medal in singles and doubles from the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona.

“This is a huge honor. I am proud and humbled to become the first-ever Tennis Hall of Famer from Croatia,” said Ivanisevic. “I am grateful to the committee for selecting me for this honor and so thankful to the fans who supported me in the Fan Vote and throughout my entire career, especially so many great fans in Croatia. I am honored and excited to become a Hall of Famer.”

Ivanisevic is serving as the coach for Novak Djokovic, who is currently attempting to defend his Australian Open title from 2019.

Martinez, just like Ivanisevic, has one Grand Slam title in her career, winning Wimbledon in 1994. She has two silver and one bronze Olympic medals, all won in doubles. The 47-year-old Spaniard is currently working as part of Garbine Muguruza’s coaching staff.
