Entering the fifth year of his rookie contract in 2018, Green Bay Packers safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix was looking to sign a long-term extension with the team before the start of the season. After that didn’t happen, the 25-year-old now thinks that won’t happen at all and that he will play elsewhere next year.

“Right now, I’m playing each and every game like it’s my last. I don’t think I’m going to be here next year,” – Clinton-Dix recently told reporters. “That’s how I look at it. I just (have to) be honest with myself. You’ve got to play it game-by-game. Whether we’re losing by 60 points, you’ve got to go out there and perform. This is my biggest interview of my career. So I’ve got to perform, regardless of what the record says.“

It is still unknown whether Green Bay Packers are interested in keeping Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, whom they drafted in the first round of 2014 draft. Clinton-Dix established himself as a valuable member of Packers’ secondary, earning Pro-Bowl selection in 2016, but it is rumored that his price might be too much for the team to pay.

If Green Bay decides to pass on Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, the safety shouldn’t have any problems in landing a lucrative contract elsewhere considering his performance this season. In five games in 2018, he had 23 tackles alongside 1.0 sacks and three interceptions.
