While Dwyane Wade considers whether he will retire from professional basketball, he received an offer that is hard to refuse. According to Chinese media, Wade got a three-year, $25 million offer from Zhejiang Golden Bulls to continue his career in China.

In case he was to accept the deal, Wade would be the highest paid basketball player in the country, topping Xinjiang’s Andray Blatche who currently holds that title.

It wouldn’t be strange to see Dwyane Wade play out his career in China, considering he has signed a lifetime deal with Li Ning, a Chinese apparel company. Wade even visited China last month to do a promotional tour.

The 36-year-old previously said that he would take his time this offseason and consider his options before making a final decision about his career.

Just taking time to think, that’s all I’m doing,” – Wade told ESPN‘s Ramona Shelburne back in April. “Taking time to think and looking at every angle and what’s the best situation for me to be in. That’s all. It’s a lot of different, it’s a lot of different things that come into play.

Dwyane Wade started the last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers but ended up returning to Miami Heat just before the trade deadline. He averaged 11.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game in 67 games he played for Cavs and Heat combined.

The offer from Zhejiang Golden Bulls is undoubtedly more lucrative than the one Heat could give to Wade. Because Miami is over the salary cap, they could only give him the mid-level taxpayer exception that stands around $5.3 million. The question now is whether Wade wants to bow out while still playing at the highest level possible or whether he wants to squeeze a few extra dollars from his basketball skills.

It is official now. Dwyane Wade and LeBron James have reunited once again, but this time in Cleveland. After reports from multiple sources that Wade is going to sign with the Cavs, the team confirmed the news on their official Twitter profile.

Wade signed one-year, $2.3 million deal with the Cavs after reaching contract buyout agreement with the Chicago Bulls and becoming a free agent.

We’re extremely happy that Dwyane chose to join us in Cleveland and become a core part of helping us achieve success at the highest level,” – said Cavaliers GM Koby Altman on Wednesday. “Dwyane has proven time and time again that he is a leader and competitor of the highest caliber and that his focus is centered on the ultimate goal. The deep commitment and consistency that he has shown to the game as a 12-time NBA All-Star and three-time NBA Champion is remarkable and he’s going to be a difference maker on the court and in the locker room with our team.

Cleveland Cavaliers were the obvious favorites to land Wade, but plenty of other teams fought for his services including his former team the Miami Heat. “Honestly, I didn’t feel they needed me there. I feel that those guys are in a good place.” – explained Wade. But he also added that he want’s to retire as a player of the Miami Heat. “Miami, the door’s always unlocked,” Wade told to Associated Press. “One day I want to retire in a Miami Heat jersey. I don’t know how that will happen, but I definitely want to make sure that when I decide to hang it up, that jersey is on. Whether it’s being back there or signing a one-day deal like Paul Pierce, I want to make sure that I go out the way I came in.
