Veteran left-back Danny Rose hasn’t given up on his career with Tottenham Hotspur. Despite spending the past six months on loan with Newcastle United, Rose is hoping he’ll get a chance to play with Spurs “one more time.”

Rose was a starter for Tottenham early in 2019/20, but his status changed when Jose Mourinho arrived at the club. Mourinho was reportedly unsatisfied with the 30-year-old’s work ethic and removed him from the squad entirely.

Now, after a fairly successful stint with Newcastle, Rose will attempt to get on Mourinho’s good side again.

“I’m very happy to stay at Tottenham and see my last 10, 11 months out. I’d love to,” said Rose, who has one year left on his deal.

Danny Rose spent almost his entire pro career with Tottenham, arriving at the club as a 17-year-old player in 2007. Since then, he played 214 games for Spurs in all competitions.

“I want nothing more than to play in front of the Tottenham fans one more time and just to cherish all the moments I’ve had over the years with them.” he added.

Despite his wishes, Rose will most likely be on the move this summer. Tottenham is openly looking to sell him, with his former club Leeds United reportedly being interested in bringing him back to Elland Road ahead of their return to Premier League.
