Arizona Coyotes decided to reward winger Conor Garland for his remarkable performances in the past couple of months and give him a two-year deal. Garland started the season with Arizona’s AHL affiliate Tucson Roadrunners before being called up to Coyotes after the team faced with a series of injuries.

According to sources, Garland will earn $775,000 per year with the new deal that will keep him with the team through the 2020-21 season.

“Conor has come onto our team and made an impact through his work ethic and willingness to get to the net and score goals,” – said Coyotes’ President of Hockey Operations John Chayka in a release. “He’s a great success story for our organization as a later round pick and the development process he went through to get here. We’re thrilled to get him signed long-term.”

Despite being featured in just half of the Arizona Coyotes’ games, Conor Garland managed to become the team’s third most prolific scorer with 12 goals for the season while also adding three assists. He had eight goals and 11 assists in 18 games with the Roadrunners.

“I’m very thankful and honored to be a part of the Coyotes for the next two years,” – said Garland after inking the deal. “We have a very special group here, and I’m looking forward to helping us build a winning culture here in the desert.”
