It only took four days for outside linebacker Bruce Irvin to find a new job after being released by Oakland Raiders on November 3rd. Irvin agreed to a one-year deal with Atlanta Falcons on Wednesday, which will see him playing in football in his hometown.

According to Irvin, he had more lucrative offers from New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers, but the 31-year-old didn’t want to pass on the opportunity to play in Atlanta.

“This was a dream [come] true,” – Irvin told ESPN. “The Patriots and Steelers offered more money, but being able to play for my city and my people — you just can’t put a price on that.“

The Falcons confirmed the deal via their social media.

“We know exactly how Bruce will fit into our team on the field, and just as importantly into our locker room,” -said Falcons head coach Dan Quinn.

Bruce Irvin and Dan Quinn already collaborated in 2013 and 2014 when Irvin played for Seattle Seahawks, and Quinn served as team’s defensive coordinator.

Bruce Irvin was selected by Seahawks in the first round of 2012 NFL Draft, spending four years with the organization and winning Super Bowl XLVIII. He signed to a four year deal with the Raiders in 2016.

Irvin played a total of 98 NFL games in his career and has 252 tackles, 40.0 sacks, and 15 forced fumbles.
