After winning the Super Bowl, the Kansas City Chiefs are extending two people that played a very important role in that achievement, head coach Andy Reid and general manager Brett Veach.

According to reports across the league, both are going to be receiving six-year contract extensions, keeping them in Kansas City through the 2025 season at least.

After coaching the Philadelphia Eagles for 14 years, Reid joined the Chiefs in 2013. Since joining the franchise, the Chiefs have not had a losing season. Kansas City has a record of 77-35, and of course, one Super Bowl win with Reid at the helm.

Veach has been the general manager since 2017, which is the year that Reid signed his first five-year extension with the team.

The Chiefs are doing everything they can this year to keep their group of Super Bowl winners together, in the hopes of building a dominant team that could one day become a dynasty.

The biggest move of the offseason was giving their franchise quarterback Patrick Mahomes and record-setting, 10-year contract extension worth $500 million. They then went ahead and secured Mahomes’s favorite target, tight end Travis Kelce, giving him a big four-year $85 million dollar extension.

The Chiefs have also used this offseason to resign wide receiver Sammy Watkins and give one of their defensive stars, Chris Jones, a big contract extension as well.
