Denver Broncos suffered 26-24 loss to Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday to continue their winless run in 2019, but that wasn’t the end of their problems. Broncos’ talented defensive end Bradley Chub suffered a partially torn ACL in his left knee during the game and was ruled out for the rest of the season.

The news was confirmed on Monday by Broncos’ head coach Vic Fangio.

“He’s got a partial tear of the ACL and will be out for the season,” – Fangio told reporters.

Chubb left the game against Jags twice, but managed to finish it on the field. According to Fangio, the 23-year-old felt discomfort in his knee on Monday, and it was only revealed after MRI that his ACL has a partial tear.

“It’s a huge loss,” – he added. “He’s one of our better players, obviously. He’s a tempo-setter, a great person, a great leader.”

Bradley Chubb was taken fifth overall by Denver in 2018 NFL Draft, and immediately impressed in his rookie season. He started all 16 games in 2018, contributing with 60 tackles and 12.0 sacks while making the PFWA All-Rookie Team.

In four games of 2019, Chubb recorded 21 tackles while adding 1.0 sacks and one forced fumble.
