Bogdanovic suffered the injury in late 2019, but decided to continue playing through pain. However, with the uncertainty surrounding the current NBA season due to coronavirus, the 31-year-old opted to have surgery. This will give him a chance to recover in full for the 2020/21 season.

Loss of Bojan Bogdanovic will definitely be a big blow for the Jazz if the NBA resumes the current season. The Croatian was a big contributor for Utah in 2019/20 and was having a career year averaging 20.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.

Bogdanovic joined Utah Jazz last summer, inking a four-year, $73 million contract. He previously spent two seasons with Indiana Pacers.

Jazz are currently fourth in the West with 41-23 record. They are three games behind the LA Clippers on the second spot and one game in front of OKC Thunder and Houston Rockets, who are a fifth and sixth seed. Utah has 18 games left to play in this regular season.
