]]>Former LA Galaxy midfielder Baggio Husidic decided to say goodbye to soccer at the age of 31. Husidic, who was released by Galaxy following the end of 2018 MLS season, announced his retirement on Thursday.
“I feel extremely fortunate to have been able to spend the last 10 years of my life playing this game that I love,” – said Husidic in a statement. “I couldn’t have predicted what my career would have looked like, but I am proud and grateful for everything I have been able to experience through soccer.”

Baggio Husidic started his professional career with Chicago Fire in 2009, where he spent two years before making a move to Swedish second division side Hammarby IF. After playing 40 games in Sweden, he decided to return to MLS in 2014 and sign with LA Galaxy.
Husidic played 104 games with Galaxy during the four years in Los Angeles and managed to score nine goals. He also helped the team to win one MLS Cup trophy.
