Georgia Bulldogs guard Anthony Edwards already knows the next step in his pro career. Edwards, who is the top prospect in the nation according to multiple rankings, announced on Friday that he will be entering the 2020 NBA Draft.

Edwards revealed his decision in an interview with 24/7 Sports, in which he also expressed the belief that he’ll be this year’s first overall pick.

“I just want to declare for the 2020 NBA draft,” said Edwards. “I think I should go No. 1, no doubt. That’s the only place I think I should go.”

According to Edwards, he has all the tools to make it in the NBA.

“I just feel like I got the physical tools,” he added. “I feel like my body frame is already there, and I’m going to stay in the gym and continue to get better.

Anthony Edwards already signed with an agency, choosing Octagon Basketball, which also represents the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Stephen Curry.

Edwards played 32 games this season with Georgia, averaging 19.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists. Several mock drafts are projecting him to be the first overall pick in 2020.
