The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has expressed his confidence in his team’s ability to come away with the AFC title in their showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

“AFC championship week, ready to go,” Mahomes announced, going on to discuss his recovery from a high ankle sprain that he picked up during the Chiefs’ 27-20 divisional round playoff win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday.

“It’s doing good,” he explained. “I’ve done a few days of treatment, a few days of rehab. Excited to get on the practice field and kind of test it out and see where I’m at. But it’s feeling good so far.”

While Mahomes was able to see out the game against the Jaguars, he did have to adjust his style of play in order to cope with the injury setback. Although the league leader in passes from outside the pocket in the regular season, Mahomes did not make any such passes during the Jaguars game.

According to Mahomes, this injury will not impact his game against the Bengals. Instead, he will focus on finding the best ways to make effective throws that will hand Kansas City a path to victory.

The Buffalo Bills are heading to the AFC Championship Game for the first time since 1994 after defeating the Baltimore Ravens in a defensive struggle on Saturday in Orchard Park.

The Bills, the surprise team of the season that shocked everyone by finishing 13-3, defeated a Baltimore team that was picked by many to win after their defense completely suffocated Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.

Buffalo held Baltimore to only a field goal, propelling them to a chance to play in the Super Bowl.

Despite gaining 340 total yards, the Ravens were unable to capitalize due to missed field goals and a crucial turnover in the third quarter when the team was only down by a touchdown deep in the Bills’ red zone.

Quarterback Lamar Jackson threw a pick-six interception to Bills cornerback Taron Johnson, whose touchdown gave his team a 17-3 lead they would not relinquish.

Wide receiver Stefon Diggs also starred on the day, catching 8 Josh Allen passes for 106 yards and a third-quarter touchdown which gave his team the lead.

Buffalo will now wait to see whether they will take on the Cleveland Browns or the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game next Sunday.

The Tennessee Titans pulled off one of the biggest playoff upsets in the recent history of the NFL, shocking the reigning Super Bowl champion New England Patriots 20-13 to advance to the AFC Divisional Round.

The Titans went on the road and eliminated the Patriots, who have won two of the past three Super Bowls and had participated in all three, with a strong defensive performance and a huge night from running back Derrick Henry.

Henry, the NFL’s leading regular season rusher, pounded New England’s defense for 182 yards and a touchdown to establish the Titans’ running attack.

The Patriots and quarterback Tom Brady were never able to get going despite being heavy favorites. Brady threw for only 209 yards on 37 pass attempts, throwing a late game interception which was returned for a touchdown by Logan Ryan, which put the game to bed.

The Titans, who were the playoffs’ lowest seed and had the worst record of any team in the postseason, will now have an opportunity to pull of an even more monumental upset as they travel to take on the top-seeded Baltimore Ravens next weekend.

New England, which won’t participate in the AFC Divisional Round for the first time since 2009, will look to regroup in the offseason and will wait to see if Tom Brady will stay on for another year.
