The NFL announced Tuesday that the suspended game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals would not be rescheduled for this week. This comes after the game was called off following the collapse of Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who was later confirmed to have experienced a cardiac arrest.

League commissioner Roger Goodell revealed that he had consulted with both teams as well as the NFL Players Association before coming to a final decision. As a result, the schedule for Week 18 of the regular season will remain unchanged.

“The NFL continues to be in regular contact with the medical team caring for Damar Hamlin, and also the Bills and Bengals organizations and the NFL Players Association,” the league confirmed in the statement.

Hamlin is currently being treated at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where is said to be in critical condition.

Aside from the Bengals game, the rest of the Bills’ schedule is still expected to go ahead as planned. Buffalo will host the New England Patriots on Sunday, while the Bengals are set to play the Baltimore Ravens, however, the time for the game remains unconfirmed.
