The Phoenix Suns shooting guard Bradley Beal is expected to miss three weeks after he picked up a lower back strain. While he missed the first seven weeks of his Suns’ career due to his back injury, Beal played three games before being sidelined from Wednesday’s 133-115 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Acquired from the Washington Wizards in an offseason trade, Beal was expected to form a crucial part of the Suns’ big three alongside Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. Unfortunately, Booker has faced injury woes of his own, playing in just three of the Suns’ 11 games because of ankle and calf strains.

In three starts, Beal is averaging 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists. The three-time All-Star is expected to be reevaluated at the conclusion of the three-week period.
