The Golden State Warriors showed their dominance in a 108-94 win over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday. But unfortunately, the win wasn’t without an injury to dampen the mood.

In the final seconds of the third quarter, superstar Stephen Curry attempted a three-pointer which he did not make. He stumbled backward after shooting it, and had a hard time trying to catch his balance. As a result, he ended up landing badly on his tailbone.

Curry was visibly seen afterward moaning in pain over the impact. He was able to eventually get up, but he then left the game and didn’t return.

The injury was described later as a tailbone contusion. The two-time MVP had put up 18 points and eight assists before the injury, although he was shooting a measly 2-11 from three.

It’s unclear at this moment how bad the injury is, and how long Curry will be out as a result, but head coach Steve Kerr had this to say:

“No idea if he’ll play in Memphis [on Friday]. But he seems to feel like he’ll be fine in the next week or so. We’ll see. Don’t take that to mean he’s out a week. He could be back practicing tomorrow, for all I know.”
