The Dallas Cowboys finally managed to get a long-term extension done with their star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.
Lamb, who was a holdout through the training camp, reportedly landed a four-year, $136 million contract. The agreement makes him the second-highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL, trailing only Minnesota Vikings’ Justin Jefferson, who inked a four-year, $140 million extension in July.
As part of the deal, Lamb will receive $100 million in guaranteed money and a $38 million signing bonus, with the latter being the most given to a wideout in the history of the league.
Lamb, set to play on the fifth-rookie option in 2024, decided to skip the Cowboy’s voluntary offseason program and training camp while awaiting a new deal. The negotiations between the two sides dragged on before a breakthrough was made in recent days after Dallas came back with an improved offer.
By signing Lamb to a new deal, the Cowboys ensure they have one of their best players on the field in Week 1 and part of the organization for years to come.
Lamb eclipsed 1,100 yards receiving in each of the past three seasons en route to three straight Pro Bowls. This included a standout campaign in 2024, in which he led the league with 135 catches while getting career-highs in receiving yards (1,749) and touchdowns (12).
