After suffering a dismal run of form, Tottenham Hotspur has turned their fortunes around with a 5-0 win over Red Star Belgrade in their Champions League Group B match.

Prior to this match, Tottenham Hotspur had only managed to win two matches in the last two months. Their previous Group B match resulted in a humiliating 7-2 loss at home to Bayern Munich.

Desperate to regain some goodwill from their home supporters, Spurs got off to a flying start, with Harry Kane scoring a 9th-minute opener. Winger Heung-Min Son looked just as eager to impress, as the South Korean start grabbed a brace before the half-time whistle, giving Spurs a 3-0 advantage.

From the start of the second half, Spurs remained resolute in the quest for more goals. Spurs’ fourth goal came in the 57th minute courtesy of Erik Lamela, while Harry Kane scored in the 72nd minute to wrap up the scoring. This goal lifted Kane to a tied second place in the Champions League top scorer’s charts, with four goals in three games.

Spurs are due to face a tough couple of fixtures ahead, with away matches in the Premier League against Liverpool and Everton respectively. Their next Champions League game comes on the 6th of November when Red Star Belgrade will try to exact revenge for their humiliating loss.
