Sporting Kansas City’s talented midfielder Gianluca Busio made the most out of 2019 and established himself as one of MLS’ brightest young stars. Busio also managed to capture the attention of several European clubs in the process, with some of them even making formal offers for the 17-year-old.

Respected Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla reported on Monday that Seria A side Fiorentina already made two offers for Busio. Both offers, in range of $3-$4 million were rejected, however, as Sporting KC is reportedly looking to get at least $10 million for the player.

Besides Fiorentina, Inter Milan and Manchester United reportedly also made an approach for Busio. It’s important to note that Sporting KC’s young star has an Italian heritage, which would make it easier for him to make any team’s roster as he would be considered an EU player.

Gianluca Busio signed with Sporting when he was 15-years-old, becoming the second-youngest player to become a pro in MLS. Busio made his debut during the 2017 season when he played seven games and contributed with one goal and one assist.

Busio’s breakthrough season came in 2019 when he received more playing time and ended up making 22 appearances including 10 starts. He finished the year with three goals and one assist.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
