Sheffield United has secured promotion to the Premier League following a 2-0 victory over West Brom on Wednesday. The Blades are now guaranteed to finish in second place in the EFL Championship this season.

With just three games left of the season, Sheffield United has amassed 85 points in 43 games, trailing only Burnley, the newly-crowned EFL Championship winners by 10 points.

Under the management of Paul Heckingbottom, Sheffield United has been fighting for promotion back to the Premier League since being relegated in 2021. While the South Yorkshire club came close to securing promotion last season after finishing fifth in the Championship, they were eliminated in the playoffs by Nottingham Forest.

This season has proven to be a major breakthrough for Sheffield, with the team making it to the FA Cup semifinals, defeating the likes of Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur and Championship rivals Blackburn Rovers before losing to Man City at Wembley Stadium.

“We’ve worked so hard for this all year and to do it at home in front of our own crowd is so special,” Sander Berge stated after scoring in his team’s 2-0 victory on Wednesday. “We want to give back to the club and fans. I came here when we were in the Premier League and now we’re back where we need to be.”

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
