The good news keeps on coming in for Red Bull’s Sergio Perez. Just days after his impressive win at Monaco GP, Perez also got a new contract that ties him to Red Bull through the 2024 Formula 1 season. He previously only had one year on his deal.

“For me, this has been an incredible week, winning the Monaco Grand Prix is a dream for any driver, and then to follow that with announcing I will continue with the Team until 2024 just makes me extremely happy,” said Perez in a statement.

Perez has been driving extremely well this season. After retiring due to car failure at Bahrain GP, the Mexican finished fourth or better in the next six races. This included the previously mentioned Monaco GP win and three runner-up finishes.

“For us, holding onto his pace, race craft, and the experience was a no-brainer and we are delighted that Checo will continue to race for the team until 2024,” said Red Bull’s CEO Christian Horner.

Sergio Perez made his Formula One debut in 2011 and served as a driver for Sauber, McLaren, Force India, and Racing Point before joining Red Bull. Over the course of his F1 career, Perez managed to get three wins and finish 19 times on the podium. He also has one pole position, which he landed in 2022 at Saudi Arabia GP.
