Goaltender Linus Ullmark has signed a four-year contract extension with the Ottawa Senators, having joined the team from the Boston Bruins in June. The new contract, which comes into effect in the 2025-26 season, carries an average annual value of $5 million.
“We are excited to have Linus signed to a contract extension before the start of the regular season,” Senators General Manager Steve Staios announced. “In a short window of time, Linus has been able to see the culture we’re trying to grow with our hockey club and his family has experienced the community spirit of Ottawa-Gatineau.”
Having spent six seasons with the Buffalo Sabres and three with the Bruins, Ullmark is entering his 10th season in the NHL. In the 2022-23 season, Ullmark won the Vezina Trophy as the best goaltender in the NHL, allowing the fewest goals.
