Center back Ruben Dias has agreed to sign a contract extension until 2027 with Premier League champions Manchester City. This comes after the Portuguese player enjoyed a successful debut season at the club, following his arrival from Benfica. This includes winning the Premier League as well as the EFL Cup.

In addition to winning the hardware, Dias also delivered a fine individual performance for Man City, resulting in the 24-year-old player being named the Premier League Player of the Season for 2020–21 as well as the 2020-21 UEFA Champions League Defender of the Season.

“I’m very happy to sign the new deal. I have enjoyed every single minute of my time at City since joining last year,” Dias said after inking the deal.

Dias also extended his thanks to manager Pep Guardiola and the rest of the management staff for helping to develop him as a player.

“To be part of the squad that achieved so much last season was incredible and made us all hungry to achieve even more,” an ecstatic Dias exclaimed.

So far, Dias has enjoyed a strong start to the season, keeping two clean sheets in City’s opening three games, including two back-to-back 5-0 victories against Norwich City and Arsenal respectively.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
