AS Roma provided one of the biggest upsets of this season as they defeated Barcelona 3-0 on Tuesday during their Champions League quarter-final clash, and progressed to the semi-finals on away goals.

Many would have thought that it was a sealed deal for La Liga leaders Barcelona as they had won the first-leg 4-1.

Edin Dzeko found the back of the net during the fifth minute after taking advantage of a good through ball from Daniele De Rossi and De Rossi then converted a penalty during the 58th minute after Dzeko was brought down in the area by Gerard Pique.

It was Kostas Manolas who scored the decisive goal and put Roma in the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time since they reached European Cup final in 1984.

Barca fielded the same side that thrashed Rome during the first-leg and was favorites to go through but they were dominated during this game.
