Daniele De Rossi will leave Seria A giants Roma this summer after spending 18 years with his hometown club. But De Rossi still wants to play at the age of 35, and it seems like he already picked his next destination.  According to ESPN’s Sports Center, the Italian midfielder will join MLS side LAFC once his contract with Roma expires.

Since Roma made it known that they won’t extend De Rossi’s contract, numerous clubs expressed interest for his services. It seemed like the player was close to joining Argentinian powerhouse Boca Juniors, but the move to the U.S. ended up looking like a more attractive option.

Reportedly, however, Daniele De Rossi could still embark on a stint in Argentina despite agreeing on an MLS move. According to sources close to the situation, De Rossi is considering an option to play with Boca before joining LAFC. In this case, he would come to the U.S. in time for 2020 MLS season.

Since making his professional debut in 2001, De Rossi played a total of 616 games with Roma and scored 63 goals in the process. Some of his career highlights with the team include two Coppa Italia trophies and Supercoppa Italiana win in 2007.
