Veteran wide receiver Kenny Britt spent the 2018 NFL season as a free agent, so it makes sense that most people thought he is retired by now. It seems, however, that Britt, who was the first round pick in 2009, still wants to play football and NFL teams are willing to give him a chance. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the 30-year-old is scheduled to work out with Washington Redskins this week.

Signing with Redskins would make lots of sense for Kenny Britt given the fact that he would then be reunited with QB Case Keenum in Washington. Britt had his best season in 2016 when he managed 1,002 receiving yards with the Los Angeles Rams who were quarterbacked by Keenum at the time.

Kenny Britt was drafted 30th overall by the Tennessee Titans in 2009 NFL Draft and went on to play four years with the organization. Although he had some big moments Britt’s time with the Titans was marked by injuries and inconsistency, which is why the team decided to let him go at the end of his rookie deal. He then embarked on stints with the Rams, Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots, but failed to make a major mark apart from 1,000+ yards season in 2016.

Britt’s career stats include 329 receptions for 5,137 yards and 32 touchdowns.
