Major League Soccer has a growing reputation among European soccer players. The latest European star to express his affection towards MLS is Real Madrid’s winger Lucas Vazquez.

Vazquez recently had a chat with Bleacher Report and said that he would “love to play” in MLS in the future. Spaniard added that he is a fan of North American sports as well and enjoys the NBA.

“It would be incredible, I’d love to play in MLS one day,” said Vazquez. “I love basketball. I love the teams of Lebron James.”

Vazquez, however, underlines that his primary focus is Real Madrid at the moment. He enjoys playing for the La Liga giants and would like to retire with the club.

I try to always give my all, and I have the ambition to improve every day, ” he added. “The truth is I hope to be able to retire at Real Madrid.”

Lucas Vazquez, whose contract expires in 2021, was on the verge of leaving Madrid last season with several clubs from England and Germany expressing their interest in his services. He ended up deciding to stay and fight for his place, but things haven’t exactly gone as he expected.

In 2019/20, Vasquez played only 14 La Liga games, mostly coming in from the bench, and scored two goals with one assist. He also made three appearances in the Champions League.
