La Liga giants Real Madrid is no longer interested in Paris Saint-Germain’s star forward Kylian Mbappe. According to a recent report by Spanish media outlet Cadena SER, Real won’t make an offer to Mbappé even if he becomes a free agent this upcoming summer.

Real has been pursuing Mbappe for several years now, but PSG rejected several of their attempts to sign the Frenchman. The player himself also opted to ink a new contract with Ligue 1 champions in the summer of 2022 despite being a free agent.

Mbappe is now set to become a free agent in the summer of 2024 again and reportedly isn’t interested in remaining with PSG. Many believed this would finally open the doors for Real Madrid, but the Spanish club is now the one who isn’t interested in doing business.

Reportedly, the biggest issue for Real is that Mbappe is looking for a big signing bonus while also demanding a salary north of $20 million on an annual basis. The club wants to stick with a sustainable transfer policy that doesn’t include huge salary discrepancies in the squad and made a decision to focus on young talents.

Even with Real Madrid out of the race, Kylian Mbappe is expected to attract interest from all other big European sides. He can sign a pre-contract with his new club as soon as January.
