Real Madrid is reportedly close to finalizing a deal for Borussia Dortmund’s star midfielder Jude Bellingham. According to influential soccer insider Fabrizio Romano, the La Liga powerhouse has convinced the player to move to Spain and is only left with agreeing to a transfer compensation with Borussia.

Landing Bellingham has been the primary focus of Real’s transfer strategy in the past months as the club is looking to add youth to its aging midfield. They are expected to sign the player on a six-year deal and pay around €120 million for his services.

Even if the deal is completed in the near future, it isn’t expected to receive an official confirmation until the end of the 2022-23 season. Borussia is currently in a tight title race with Bayern Munich in Bundesliga, and the club reportedly doesn’t want any distractions until the campaign wraps up.

Jude Bellingham emerges as one of the most exciting youth prospects in soccer. He was pursued by almost all big European clubs, but it was long believed that Manchester City was the favorite to sign him. However, Real made a strong push in recent weeks and convinced the teenager that he would be a big part of their project in the future.

Bellingham joined Borussia in 2020 as a 17-year-old from the English side Birmingham. Since his arrival in Germany, he has played 130 games in all competitions and scored 21 goals to go with 25 assists. The 19-year-old player also has 24 caps for England’s national team.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
