It looks like Eden Hazard’s time in London will come to an end pretty soon. According to influential Spanish media outlet Marca, Real Madrid and Chelsea are close to reaching agreement over Belgian star forward’s transfer to Spain.

Hazard and Real have reportedly already agreed to personal terms, but the two clubs are still negotiating about the price. Chelsea put a $160 million price tag on the 28-year-old, which is something La Liga giants aren’t willing to pay since the player has just one year left on his contract. It is expected, however, that the two sides will agree on a price of $110 million which would install Hazard as Real’s most expensive signing in history.

Even if Real Madrid and Chelsea come to an agreement about Eden Hazard in the coming days, the official announcement won’t come before the end of the season. Chelsea is looking to avoid unnecessary media attention as they are making a final push to secure UEFA Champions League spot next season and advance to Europa League finals this year.

Besides Hazard, Real and Chelsea are discussing a deal about Croatian midfielder Mateo Kovacic as well. Kovacic spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Chelsea, with the London club now looking to make the move permanent. This transfer is expected to go down smoothly as all sides involved are on the same terms.
