The Baltimore Ravens are bolstering their already impressive running game with one of the best running backs in the NFL. According to multiple reports, the Ravens signed Pro Bowler Derrick Henry on a two-year deal.

The Ravens had a long-standing interest in Henry, trying to trade for him last season. However, they now get their man on a reasonable contract worth $16 million without giving up any draft compensation.

Henry will reportedly receive $9 million in guaranteed money in 2024. He will also have an opportunity to boost his earnings through bonuses and could end up making a total of $20 million in the next two years.

Derrick Henry spent all of his eight years as a pro with the Tennessee Titans. He is known for his bruising style of play and ability to handle a larger number of carries compared to other running backs. Henry has had four Pro Bowl appearances since entering the league as a second-round selection in 2016, while he led the NFL in rushing yards and touchdowns on two occasions.

Henry had a down year in 2023 by his standards, averaging 4.2 yards per carry, the lowest since his sophomore season. However, he still managed to rush for 1,167 yards and 12 touchdowns.
