Pro Bowl offensive tackle Orlando Brown has asked the Baltimore Ravens to trade him. According to multiple reports, Brown would like to go to a team that can give him an opportunity to play left tackle full time.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport adds that the Ravens consider Brown to be a valuable asset to the team but would be prepared to let him go if they receive a “major haul” in return.

Brown spent the first two seasons playing right tackle before Ronnie Stanley’s injury forced the Ravens to put him on the left side midway through the 2020 season. The Oklahoma product performed exceptionally well in his new role and ended up earning his second Pro Bowl nod.

Despite this, Ravens can’t afford to keep Brown in his new position. They are invested in Stanley as their left tackle of the future, signing him to a five-year, $98.75 million extension last October.

Orlando Brown played left tackle at college and was projected to be a first-round pick after declaring for the draft in 2018. But his poor performance at the NFL Scouting Combine caused his draft stocks to drop, and he ended up falling to the third round, where the Ravens took him with the 83rd overall pick.

Brown had success at the right tackle, being selected to Pro Bowl in 2019. It makes sense for him to want to play left tackle, however, as the position comes with a significantly bigger salary.
