The Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews suffered a left ankle injury that will force him to miss the rest of the season. He was injured during the Ravens’ 34-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night when he was tackled by Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson during the opening drive.

Wilson’s dangerous “hip drop” tackle on Andrews is being investigated given the grave nature of the Ravens’ tight end’s injury. “It was definitely a hip-drop tackle, and it is being discussed,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh explained. “It’s a tough tackle. Was it even necessary in that situation?”

Following Andrews’ exit from the game, Harbaugh found himself needing to rely on outside targets more than usual. Wide receivers Nelson Agholor and Rashod Bateman each caught touchdown passes, while Odell Beckham Jr. supplied a season-best 116 yards receiving.
