Even though he has yet to receive the big contract extension that he is looking for, Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey is already being generous with his money.

Ramsey, one of the best cover corners in the NFL, has announced that he will be donating $1 million to the Purpose Preparatory Academy in Nashville, Tennessee.

According to Ramsey, who was born in nearby Smyrna, Tennessee, the money will be used to buy additional resources for the school and expand its programming. The school focuses on younger children (kindergarten through fourth grade) and puts an emphasis on child literacy, as well as behavioral and academic success.

Ramsey was traded to Los Angeles last year from the Jacksonville Jaguars after voicing displeasure with the team. This will be his first full season with the Rams.

Ramsey is 25 years old and is looking to have a strong season this year, which is essentially a contract year for him. He will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season and would like to get a contract extension done with the Rams.

If he plays up to his potential, there’s a good chance that the Rams could make him the highest-paid cornerback in the league very soon.
